Do I need a Claude Code subscription to use Sparkpane?+

Yes. Sparkpane is a remote-control surface for an existing Claude Code installation on your own machine. It does not include or proxy Claude itself.

Does Sparkpane work without tmux?+

No. Sparkpane targets specific tmux panes, which is what lets it deliver instructions to a long-running Claude Code session. If your remote setup does not use tmux, Sparkpane cannot drive it.

Where are my SSH keys stored?+

In the iOS Keychain. They never touch our servers. On the iOS Simulator the app uses a process-only memory store and never persists keys to disk.

How do I subscribe?+

Subscriptions are managed on sparkpane.com via Stripe. Once you sign up, the iOS app picks up your subscription status the next time you sign in.

Can I use Sparkpane with a host that requires 2FA?+

Sparkpane supports SSH key-based authentication. If your bastion or host requires interactive 2FA on top of that, the connection will hang. Use a key that is already authorized through your 2FA flow.

Is there an iPad version?+

The same binary runs on iPhone and iPad. A larger-canvas iPad layout is on the roadmap.
